Swim

Forget crawling when I can swim! Today I took my first swim class. The instructor even tough I was 8 months old by my suave stroke movements. All I got to say is Michael Phelps better don't get to comfortable being the top Olympic medalist. Miss D. is in the water now.
This week on the menu is parsnip puree and apple/pear puree with vanilla and cinnamon.



Parsnip Puree:-                                                           
5 parsnips                                                                       
1/4 cup Cream                                                             
1/4 cup Chicken Stock( more if needed)                 
1tbs Butter
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:-
-Peel and dice parsnips.
-Place parsnips in pot with enough cream and chicken stock to cover parsnips, adding more stock if need until parsnips are folk tender. Add butter.
-Add parsnips with it's liquid in blender and puree.
-Add salt and pepper to taste.

Apple Pear Puree:-
3 apples ( golden delicious)
2 Pears
1 Vanilla Bean
2 tbs water
Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions:-
-Peel, core and dice apples and pears.
-Place water, apples and vanilla bean (split in half and scraped) into pot. Cook for 4 min.
-Add pears and cinnamon, cook another 2 min.
-Remove vanilla bean pod and place apple and pears into blender and puree until desired consistency. Add more water if need.
